Welcome the winter holiday season by first offering yourself the gift of compassion.
Join mindfulness meditation and embodied self-inquiry teacher Joanna John for an exploration of RAIN — a simple yet profound practice for cultivating mindfulness and self-compassion. Originating in Buddhist mindfulness teachings and popularized in the West by Tara Brach, the RAIN practice invites us to Recognize emotions, Allow them to be present, Investigate with compassionate inquiry, and Nurture what we discover with care.
Incorporating the skills of somatic awareness and embodied self-inquiry, participants will learn tools beyond basic mindfulness practice, leaving with concrete strategies for meeting emotional difficulty with compassion, presence, and skill — both on and off the cushion.
